VaxiCode Verif: A Reliable Tool for Verifying Proof of Vaccination
VaxiCode Verif is a free application for Android devices developed by the Ministère Santé et Services Sociaux du Québec. The app aims to help businesses and organizations verify the proof of vaccination of their customers. It does so by scanning the QR code in the proof of vaccination, validating the client's vaccination status, and displaying the result in the form of a color code. Green indicates a valid vaccination status, while red means the client is not adequately protected against COVID-19.
One of the most significant advantages of the VaxiCode Verif application is that it does not communicate with the Internet during the verification process. The verification of the proof of vaccination is done locally on the device, ensuring data privacy and security. Moreover, the app does not save any information locally, and the verified proofs of vaccinations are displayed for only 10 seconds and then deleted.
